For Providers
The Caring Gene® Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program helps people start and grow their healthcare and behavioral science careers in New York.
Strengthening the Workforce
In the last year, the Career Pathways Training (CPT) has connected with individuals pursuing careers in 13 healthcare, behavioral health, and social care fields. Each CPT participant has committed to a three-year service agreement with a healthcare, behavioral health, or social care provider in New York State that serves a patient population of at least 30% Medicaid/uninsured individuals (including dual eligible) or is a contracted provider with a social care network.
These trained professionals will be entering the workforce now through Spring 2027 and will play a vital role in strengthening the healthcare system by addressing workforce shortages, enhancing patient care, and supporting communities in need.
Become a Service Commitment Site
Interested in becoming a CPT Service Commitment Site so you can employ CPT participants who are committed to fulfilling their three-year service requirement in NYS at your organization? You must submit an attestation form after speaking with the Caring Gene provider partnership manager.
Please Note: You cannot submit the attestation form PDF; it is for viewing purposes only. You must contact the Provider Partnership Manager Dennis Ryan at [email protected] to discuss the attestation process to become an approved Service Commitment Site.
